Jr. Princess Contest

Everyone Wants To Be A Princess!
                 
Again this
year, we are going to crown three (3) Jennings County Fair Queen Pageant Junior
Princesses! It could be you!! Be sure to read ALL OF THE RULES!
Grades 5 and 6 will NOT be coloring a picture this year!!
Here
are the Rules
1. You must be
a girl to be a Junior Princess.
2. You must be in grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 and attend either
a Jennings County Elementary School, a Jennings County Private Elementary
School, or a Home School taught in Jennings County.
3. You, and a parent or guardian, must be able to attend the
Jr. Princess Judges Interviews if you are one of the finalists. (More
details below!)
4. You must be able to attend the Pageant if you are one of
the finalists. The Pageant
is June 21, 2008 @ 7:00 pm.
4. Grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 must submit your coloring form
application no later than May 27, 2008. (Keep
reading to learn more about your coloring form application!)
5. Grades 5 & 6 must write a short
essay! They must answer the question, "Who
do you admire most and why?"
Because this is the
128th Jennings County Fair, the essay should be at least 128
words.
                 
Divisions
There will be 3 Divisions broken
down into grade levels. These Divisions will include students that are
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL age in Jennings County. The Divisions are as follows:
Division I -
Grades 1 & 2
Division II - Grades 3 & 4
Division III - Grades 5 & 6
(Remember, Grades 5 & 6 must write a short essay! They must answer the
question, "Who
do you admire most and why?" Because this is the
128th
Jennings County Fair, the essay should be at least 128 words.)
                 
Finalists
There will be 4 finalists from
each Division. Each finalist will be required to interview with the Jr.
Princess Judges. The interviews will consist of a 1 to 2 minute question and
answer time. The girls will be asked about their coloring sheets or their
favorite memory of the Fair essay. We ask that a parent or guardian
accompany the Finalist to her interview and be present during the interview.
All of the finalists will be invited to attend the Jennings County Fair Queen
Pageant on June 21, 2008.
                 
The
Crowning
At the 2008 Fair Queen Pageant, all of the finalists will join the 2007 Miss
Jennings County, Laura Coons on the stage!
One Junior Princess will be crowned from each Division. Laura will present each Junior Princess her own
Crown and Sash to keep and wear.
                 
Junior
Princess Responsibilities
All
3 Junior Princesses (one from each
Division), will join the 2008
Jennings County Princess on Kid's Day at the Jennings County Fair for
ice cream!
                 
How
To Enter
To ENTER
THE CONTEST you must color a picture and turn it in no later than May 27,
2008! You can drop them off at your School's office or at the
Jennings County Fairgrounds Community Building or you can mail them to:
